Charles Aznavour, affectionately known as Monsieur Aznavour, was a renowned French-Armenian singer, songwriter, and diplomat. Born on May 22, 1929, in Paris, France, Aznavour rose to international fame with his unique voice, poignant lyrics, and captivating stage presence. With a career spanning over 70 years, he has left an indelible mark on the music industry.

Aznavour was born to Armenian immigrant parents, Georg and Knar Aznavourian. He grew up in a musical household, where his mother encouraged his early interest in singing. Aznavour began performing at a young age, singing in local cafes and clubs. His big break came in 1950 when he met Édith Piaf, who became his mentor and helped launch his career.
