"Kamen Rider Kabuto: Episode 1" is the inaugural episode of the 2006 Japanese tokusatsu television series "Kamen Rider Kabuto," which is the seventh installment in the Heisei era of the Kamen Rider franchise. The series was produced by Toei Company, Ltd. and aired from January 15 to September 17, 2006, spanning 49 episodes. The first episode introduces the protagonist, Shotaro Hidari, a 16-year-old high school student who lives on the remote island of Kokubu, located off the coast of Yamaguchi Prefecture. Shotaro's life takes a dramatic turn when he encounters the Worms, monstrous creatures from another dimension known as the "Heavenly Realm" or "Gaea" that have begun invading Earth.
